Blue and Cookie

Blue and Cookie had a nice afternoon today. I bought them in from standing around in the mud (why do they choose to stand ankle deep in mud all day?) into the pen by the barn. Once I backed my float up with all the hay to unload it made a nice little corral for them so I let them loose around the outside of the barn. There are lots of grass edges for eating! They had a great time. The funniest thing was that they thought they were being cheeky for the first 30 minutes and would look at me as if to say 'we're loose - don't look - you can't see us'....

After I had unloaded all the hay and Kim arrived to help me pack it into the shed, they had had a nice time in the sun loose, with their covers off, eating grass they weren't normally grazed on. (Novelty factor only - it was only Kikuyu grass).

This picture of them was taken today once they were back in the pen (eating hay).
