First trip to beach

Well the last two days we have had two trips to the beach - yesterday was a little bit of a disaster - and today was great! Yesterday was obviously the first time Garbo has seen the beach - and for his first beach to be Muriwai - it's a big ask! He was a bit frightened of the sand blowing across the top of the sand...think he thought the earth was moving under him - and he wasn't too sure about the waves either. To cut a long story short - I was leading him in the waves and managed to fall into the sea - after he got a fright and I lost hold of his reins and he stepped on them and broke the cheekpiece!! Helen fell off Cookie when he spooked at the same wave (must have been a REALLY scary one) and she fell into the ocean too! All in all it was quite funny and must have been hilarious to watch. Garbo loved the river though - I think he would have played in it for hours had he had the opportunity.... this photo isn't very good - it's from my phone - but it's Garbo playing in the river.
