This is a video taken after one lesson with Michael Ostblom - an instructor teaching here at the moment. He works at the Australian Equine Behaviour Centre and their training methods are based on making the aids (particularly for Go and Stop) very clear. I found the lesson really great last Sunday. In this session we were working on lengthening and shortening the stride. We are not working on contact yet - as long as the reins are not floppy but straight Michael says.
Here's a link to the video
I found I now do not have to kick at all to get him to remain in walk or trot - which is such a big breakthrough.
