- we're going jumping !
As you can see - Garbo was having a lie down when I arrived today. He usually is found sleeping in the late morning. Today was the 2nd time I have managed to get right next to him while he stayed lying down. So cute. Then we went to have a Show Hunter lesson at Raider Lodge with Tracey Paige.
It was so much fun and we did a whole course by the end of the lesson - she said I should enter a Waitemata Riding Club Show Hunter Day. She also said I wasn't gripping with my knees (good thing) and because of that I guess - I felt really secure. There were roadworks going on right next to the arena and Garbo spooked twice but both times I stayed secure and we worked through it and made him go back to where he spooked. It helped me work on our mutual trust. Cool lesson all in all. I guess we were jumping about 50cm.
Then Wendi had a lesson on Lucky. That was cool to watch - he was a show jumper and she has jumped quite high from what I have seen in photos. Lucky was not very fond of the gnomes in the corner of the arena. Funny - Garbo couldn't care less about them. Just didn't like the big tar trucks dumping tar on the road.
