I have been letting the boys graze the topsoil pile along the house site for about an hour a day as it's got heaps of grass (and it's not dried out)... and lots of yummy weeds they like (even the prickly ones)... so if it stops the weeds seeding - all good.
It's also been good for them to become a bit more agile and sure footed as the pile of dirt was just that - a pile of dirt, so it's steep and quite close to the fence in some places (bit of a squeeze) and also uneven. Garbo just walks sraight up this first bank now like he's always done it.
