Mud Fever - grrrr

All this bloomin rain and sodden paddocks has given Garbo Mud Fever. He hasn't had it for the last few years and I thought I was safe. But the paddocks everywhere have been wet constantly that I am not really surprised.

His feet were swollen up when I got back from London (July 22nd) and I think that was it at it's worst, and think we are actually on the healing process side of things now. Fingers crossed anyway.

Spraying 50/50 mix of vinegar and baby oil each day which seems to help, and getting the scabs off at night when I hose off the mud and dry his legs and add Mud Fix Wax which is an essential oil cream product.

ooh that looks nasty1 poor boy.
liz gets little areas of redness and bleeding but they are tiny. i wash them in water and put neem oil on. in the past i have tried wound cream and then tea tree oil. others have recommended Hibiscrub anti bacterial wash but i think its too strong.
i hope garbo's legs are better soon. it will be interesting to see which one of your choices works.
