Arrival day

I worried alot about how he would load and travel but I need not have. Jackie texted about 9.30am to say he loaded well and was on his way. Soon after 10am he arrived and when the back door was opened he was just standing quietly. Simone led him out slowly as he took everything in... and he slowly came down the ramp and started eating grass (just like Garbo did the day I bought him home).

I put him in the square sand pen with another youngster and they played for a bit and then I got them some hay and water. He was so laid back it wasn't funny! I went in and sat on a jump stand for a while and he came over and said hi alot.

Went and got a coffee and then came back and did a little bit of backing with the halter on, forwards, and head down - and then led him to his new paddock. He walked nicely behind me and nudged my arm a few times on the way (very gently) for reassurance. He is in a paddock with a 3 y/o and a 2 y/o and they started running around a bit (investigating the new guy) and every now and again he would come over and check in - it was so cute. He looks very happy.

It's our wedding anniversary today (7 years) and I was very spoiled. George sent me a beautiful bunch of flowers and left a lovely card on my desk - my husband is so sweet!

Happy (belated) Anniversary!

What a pretty horse. I'm going to have to dig around here to find out more about him. Love his face!
