Wendi has ridden Garbo a couple of times lately and she said he has improved alot. I have changed three things. I changed his food to Prydes EasiResult. I changed from a French Link Snaffle to a Myler Comfort mouth snaffle (which he really seems to like), and with Wendi's help I have become a lot stricter with taking charge of our rides and putting Garbo where I want him when I want him. Oh - one other thing - I got his saddle re-packed as it was pinching his shoulders quite badly.
He was spooking and bucking for a couple of weeks there, but no spooking now for over two weeks and I was concerned he did not have a lot of room in his mouth for the old bit. The Myler bit is designed to for their mouths (shape) more and enable them to swallow while the bit is in.
We have also been venturing down the drive alone each day and adding the distance a bit at a time - we are more than half way down now (it's a really long drive) without any napping or spooking.
