When I got Garbo he had really bad cracks in his hooves, especially the front ones. I have made the following changes; adding Durahoof supplent (mainly containing Biotin), applying antibacterial dressing, and recently metalex to the cracks to kill the bacteria.The farrier also dug out the cracks so that I could clean them. This picture is from August 31, 2005. Today two of the cracks gave way and a piece broke off each hoof. I am really hoping they will start strengthening up soon!
