A day in my winter world

This is what I get up to in winter... the boys are yarded at night to help save the grass. So first light I head out to let them out for the day and to clean out the yards (take out all the poop) and top them up with fresh peelings when needed, then fill up the haynets, and the water buckets, clean all the buckets from the night before and all done!

I also change covers, or take covers off, or put them on again - depending on the weather...

Then I get on with my day and feed them back in their yards and keep them in for the night at about 4 or 5 oclock...

They are such lucky boys to have you.....

You are very good doing tieing practice with Maraschino - I know I must do more with everyone too. I have realised how little porky I do with them in a halter - usually I just 'lead' them by the jaw or mane or they just come along anyway but that is not good if someone else needs to handle them. Have added halter play for Merlot and Shiraz twice a week for the next 4 weeks to my 'to do' list..
