Was lucky enough to get a lesson from Manuela - Andrew McLean's wife while she was here in NZ for three days. Someone's horse went lame so I got one lesson. It was fabulous - one of the best lessons I have had in my life. She is very kind with her contact and that seems to make the horses go in a more relxed manner - and for Garbo -in a more relaxed frame. Garbo was an angel - it was a new property and I left him in a strange pen with hay for ages while I watched the other lessons and then in the arena he was like "oh a dressage test" kinda attitude and just trotted on in as if he'd been there a 1000 times before. No calling out to other horses or stressing.
