Got back from a three day conference in Melbourne to find Garbo's lower hind legs swollen. I bandaged them with Polarwrap and walked him around a bit. Didn't make alot of difference. Next day there was more swelling and his glands were swollen too. Booked the vet. Next day vet came and by then all four legs were swollen (and hot) and the vet found edemas (swelling) on his abdomin and neck as well. He took some blood and gave him an anti-inflammatory injection too.
Today the vet left a message saying he has anemia (Garbo - not the vet), and I have to call him tomorrow. Bit worried.
Swelling down today apart from one leg, but still less than yesterday. Took Garbo for a walk inhand down the drive.... poor boy
A bit about me (Vicki) and my horses and what we get up to. One of my horses is a Palomino (called Garbo) born 16th Sept 1997, and my baby is a Skewbald gelding called Maraschino born 4th October 2006. Then lastly I rescued a mini called Coco.
