I hadn't been to the forest for ages and Claire had told me about Restall Rd - a much easier drive than to Muriwai - and quicker too. So Viv and Donni and I went and checked it out on Auckland Anniversary weekeknd. There were loads of people in the carpark but didn't see anyone on the tracks. This picture was taken while we were deciding which way to go - not that we were lost - we just had a choice. It was a very enjoyable day - even the horses said so - well Noddy got a tad tense...but he liked the food afterwards! I had my stirrups at jumping height and my jumping saddle on so I could practice standing up in the stirrups. It was easy by the end of the ride.
