Golden Horse Open Ribbon Day

Coatesville Pony Club (Dec 4, 2005).

I took the plunge and trimmed Garbos feathers, much to the elation of my dressage instructor. He does look much better I must say!

Anyway - today was our first Inhand Show together. I only figured out half way through, that I need to run really fast to make Garbo do any kind of 'expressive' trot, so then managed a fast run in "Best Movement - Hack" and won! Garbo was still like "come on hurry up Mum"...

We also got another first with his sister (same dam) - she is also a dilute, in the Progeny class. Garbo got 4 Thirds - Best Head Hack, Best Conformation Hack, Male 4 years and over, and Best Coloured Palomino. I was pretty pleased with our first attempt. I even wore a hat as you can see.

The photos with all the ribbons didn't turn out, Kim kindly took some photos with my camera but it's an SLR Digital so not really just a point and shoot - and it was accidentally flicked onto Manual so they were all underexposed. But I shall tie them all back on again (the ribbons) tomorrow and take another photo!

It was alot of fun - and Garbo really enjoyed it - he loves Critey - so they just hung out (old paddock buddies as well as being brother and sister). First thing he did when he got home was have a roll!
